Caught napping

I love this picture my daughter drew while I had a quick 40 winks on hols recently.  Reminds me of a proverb:

A little sleep, a little slumber,  a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man. prov 24:33-34

I hope that doesn’t apply to the occasional holiday. There must be a proverb about holidays somewhere…

  1. Psalm 127:2 – In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. How’s that? There is of course a proviso to this sleep being granted.
