Reading a cartoon

Reading the bible in Greek is like reading in cartoon pictures. I only know a simple translation for each word so it’s semantic range is kind of monochrome. I was reading about Zacchaeus this morning in Luke 19:1-7. He was “searching” for Jesus. Jesus said to him “it is necessary” that I come to your house. Not great translations of the words but it made the story seem fresh and vivid somehow.
