One perfect day (part 1)

I have decided to have one perfect day. Not a day where everything goes perfectly but a day were, to the best of my ability, I live as I would want to live every day. The thought of living every day that way seems impossible but Jesus says we should live our lives one day at a time. We are to pray for daily provision and only worry about the things that might happen today. God’s mercy is new every morning and we are not to let the sun go down on our anger (ie start each day without being in a mood with someone). There are of course other passages that imply we should be mindful of the longer term (1 Cor. 16:2, Pauls missionary journeys no doublt required planning days ahead and took days to undertake) for the most part we would do well to do life one day at a time.

I am not expecting to live the day perfectly in the sense of never doing anything wrong but I do want to approach the day and walk through it as if it was the last day I would ever live and that the energy, effort, etc that I put into living it right would only have to be sustained for 24 hours. It will be one perfect day in terms of my attitude towards it.
