Failure can refine faith. How so? It strips away our self confidence. It shows us we cannot do something. It makes us look to God who can. There may only be a speck left after a painful time of testing but what remains is more precious than gold. More valuable than diamond dust. After failure is the time to reinvest in the kingdom of God. To take the tiny seed that we have left, now stripped of all the grot, the self confidence, the maybes and possibilities, and re-plant it.
